New Update for Adobe Scan And Adobe Sign help deliver seamless customer experiences

Adobe introduces a new feature in #AdobeScan that users have been requesting – Modify Scan. Now you’ll no longer have to live with the scan you took in a hurry, saved on the fly or captured too much, or too little of. With this release, users can add, delete or reorder individual pages and re-crop or re-clean scans saved in Adobe Document Cloud, without using tools like Acrobat or Photoshop. Here’s how you can modify your new scans with the latest update:

• Adjust the cropping and cleaning of an individual page within a multipage PDF
• Add and remove pages within a multipage scan
• Replace a page within a multipage scan by taking the following steps:
• Delete the page you want to replace
• Take a scan of the page you want to add
• Insert the newly scanned page into the multipage PDF wherever you’d like

In addition to modifying existing scans, #AdobeScan automatically detects low light conditions and turns on your flashlight to capture a clear, bright image, every time. The app even recognizes and lightens dark shadows, including that pesky shadow of your hand taking the photo. It has also further improved the overall capture, cropping, and cleaning of scans in any light, powered by Adobe Sensei machine learning.

Life Sciences compliance

Today, life sciences and pharmaceutical companies using Adobe Sign can easily and confidently comply with FDA 21 CFR Part 11, the globally-accepted regulation for electronic records and signatures in the biopharma industry, through multi-factor e-signature authentication or the more rigorous certificate-based digital signature authentication. Adobe Sign delivers compliant electronic signatures across desktop, web, and mobile, that are SAFE-BioPharma certified, ensuring that the right steps are followed every time. New Adobe Sign capabilities include re-authentication at the time of signing and selecting a reason for signing. Additional digital signature options are also available, in partnership with industry leading trust service providers like Trans Sped.

Payments incorporated into forms and files
As digital payment services transform e-commerce, small and medium-sized businesses continue to look for hassle-free and secure ways to bring forms and payments together for their customers. It often takes multiple steps to fill, sign, pay and send documents – like sales contracts, invoices, new account applications, charitable donations and online order forms – which ultimately makes for a disappointing experience for everyone. Adobe linked up with leading payment gateway provider Braintree, a PayPal service, so that Adobe Sign and Braintree customers can easily and securely collect payments from customers as they fill and sign forms. Braintree supports 130-plus currencies across 44 countries so transactions can be completed on any device across the globe.

Integration with SAP SuccessFactors
Hiring great candidates, speeding up the onboarding process, and eliminating manual paperwork just got easier with the integration of Adobe Sign and SAP SuccessFactors. In the coming weeks, you will be able to create and send offer letters and onboarding forms with Adobe Sign directly from the SAP SuccessFactors workspace to engage the best talent in fast-paced markets. Once signed, approved documents are automatically stored in SAP SuccessFactors for a seamless, end-to-end digital workflow.

• Send offer letters for e-signature from within the SAP SuccessFactors Recruiting application to any candidate with an email address and sign 30 per cent faster than competitive solutions.
• Monitor the status of offer letters through every step of the lifecycle, and view full audit trails in SAP SuccessFactors.
• Send onboarding documents such as benefit enrollment forms and rights agreements to new hires via Adobe Sign and get them up and running faster.
• Ensure compliance and cut legal risk with global e-signatures, and get full visibility into pending approvals across your organization.
• Reduce response times from a week to a day or less.
• Engage candidates with a seamless signing experience that makes it easy for them to say yes —from any device.

Cloud-based digital signature momentum
Adobe’s leadership with cloud-based digital signatures, working closely with the Cloud Signature Consortium, continues to expand. Now, you can predefine exactly which digital ID providers are acceptable for your business processes and let different departments in your organization configure digital signature workflows to their own unique specifications. In the near future, Adobe Sign will work with more certificate digital ID providers too, including qualified eIDAS solutions: Asseco Data Systems, ATOS Worldline, BankID Sweden, Certinomis, GlobalSign, Swisscom, and UniverSign; as well as Seiko in Japan. And, with BankID Sweden, 6.5M people in Sweden can now sign securely using their existing digital identity issued by their bank.
