Kapil Dev to promote Kinetic’s Boss

After TVS motorcycle ‘Victor’ revved up with Sachin Tendulkar endorsing it, Kinetic has now roped in India’s legendary cricketer Kapil Dev to promote its entry-level motorcycle ‘Boss’.

The company also plans to add three more motorcycle brands—two in the 110 cc executive segment and one in the 125-150 cc performance segment over the next few months. This will take Kinetic’s total motorcycle offerings to six from the current level of three.

According to sources, Kapil Dev will be brand ambassador for the 100CC motorcycle, ‘Boss’ and not for other two brands—‘Kinetic GF’ and ‘Challenger’. The move to take Kapil Dev as the brand ambassador is also part of the company’s plan to shift its focus to motorcycles. The contribution from motorcycles to the company’s total turnover is expected to grow to arond 45 per cent from the current level of around 15 per cent.

Kinetic is banking on ‘Boss’ to take the company forward in the motorcycle segment and hopes to sell 75,000 motorcycles next year. ‘Boss’ is a four-stroke motorcycle in the economy segment and was launched in June last year.
