Housing.com appoints Nikhil Rungta as Chief Marketing Officer

Housing.com announced the appointment of Nikhil Rungta as its Chief Marketing Officer. A seasoned marketing veteran with over 20 years of experience, Rungta is recognized as one of India’s top marketing leaders, with experience across companies like Reliance Jio, Google, and McCann Erickson. 

Prior to Housing.com, Rungta was the Senior Vice President – Marketing at Reliance Jio, and he was the first CMO for Google in India, where he held that position for four years.  He has also played key business leadership roles at start-ups like Yebhi and Yatra.com.  

Speaking about Nikhil Rungta’s appointment, Jason Kothari, Chief Business Officer, Housing.com said, “Nikhil is one of India’s leading marketers who has achieved remarkable success during his career.  For the last two decades, he has worked in leadership roles across sales, marketing and e-commerce with both multinationals and start-ups. His rich experience will be a valuable addition to Housing.com’s growth plans and senior management team.  We are very excited to have him on board with us.”

Rungta’s tenure at Google has been recognized on a global scale, when he achieved a milestone 10X growth for YouTube’s India user base with events like Live Streaming of IPL and Online Premier of Bollywood Blockbusters like Dabangg. In addition, he is also credited for helping make Google Chrome the number one web browser in the country. He also played a prominent role in creating the Great Online Shopping Festival (GOSF).

Rungta holds a MBA from NMIMS in Mumbai and is a BSc from Hindu College in Delhi University.
