Godrej Foods forays into ghee segment with Kitchen’s Pride

The Foods Division of Godrej Industries has launched pure ghee under the brand name Kitchen’s Pride. The launch of Kitchen’s Pride marks GIL Foods Division’s foray into the ghee segment and extends its vast brand portfolio in the cooking medium category.

Kitchen’s Pride Pure Ghee is priced competitively, claimed the company. The product is available in two variants – one made from cow’s milk, catering to South and West India, priced at Rs 160 for 1 litre, and the other made from buffalo milk to suit consumers in North India, priced at Rs 155 for 1 litre.

MP Pusalkar, Executive Director and President, GIL – Foods Division, said, “GIL’s Foods Division has always been a forerunner in the cooking medium segment, whether it is in cooking oils or vanaspati. Capitalising on our expertise in this segment, we are extending our offering with the launch of Kitchen’s Pride Pure Ghee. Research has given us a fair idea about Indian women’s requirements with regard to convenience in cooking.”

MY Varma, Executive Vice-President – Sales and Marketing, GIL - Foods Division, said, “Kitchen's Pride Pure Ghee is currently available at select outlets in the metro cities of Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore and Chandigarh and will soon reach other cities like Ludhiana, Cochin, Pune, Kanpur and Lucknow.”
