Brands of Desire announces its new positioning as management consulting firm

Brands of Desire (BoD) has announced its new positioning as a management consulting firm, marking their rapidly transforming role in client engagements. Its new focus is to provide three main lines of service to their clients: Strategy Consulting, Implementation Management and Execution Services. The firm plans to invest in digital technologies such as data analytics, automation, and artificial intelligence to add to their execution capabilities. BoD is focusing exclusively on building an in-house research & knowledge desk to publish industry guiding reports and support the consulting teams in backing their recommendations.

A decade-old firm, BoD started as a strategy led brand consultancy in 2008 by IIM Calcutta alumnus Saurabh Uboweja with an aim to bring world class branding solutions to Indian organisations. The firm has worked closely with over 300 founders, CXOs and business heads across geographies to define and implement highly dependable brand frameworks for their organisations. BoD has worked on branding and rebranding projects with leading Indian and International organisations such as TATA Group, Nokia, Walmart, ICICI Bank, Rivigo Logistics, Renew Power and Medtronic.

The firm has created niche capabilities and strategic frameworks which help in creating memorable brand experiences across the customer journey that can be delivered consistently with ease. With offices in New Delhi and Mumbai and a team of 40 people, BoD has built deep capabilities in the areas of strategy, brand design, verbal identity, and UI/UX design.The firm has been receiving international recognition for their branding and rebranding projects. In its recent win, BoD received 4 awards at the 5th Annual International “The Best Brand Awards”. It won a Gold Medal Best Brand in Asia for its branding work on Early Learning Village and Silver for its branding work on Chuk, Brand India Summit and World Sufi Forum.

Under the leadership of Saurabh Uboweja, the firm is now pivoting and repositioning itself as a management consulting firm focused on building brands. In addition, three highly reputed & experienced professionals have joined BoD as consulting partners - Samir Miglani, Ranjoy Dey and Shubhendu Agarwal. They carry deep expertise in consumer facing and b2b industries such as telecom, FMCG and medical devices besides functional expertise in sales & marketing, digital marketing and analytics.

Commenting on the repositioning Saurabh Uboweja International Brand Expert and CEO BoD said, “We admire the extraordinary work of global management consulting firms like Mckinsey, BCG and Bain & Company and aspire to create a parallel of these iconic firms but deeply focused in the pursuit of building brands which is our core competency. Our clients want us to implement the strategy and recommendations we propose and handhold them on their journey to become a brand which often results in significant changes across all business functions including organization strategy, operations, human resources, finance, sales & marketing and customer support. The other important reason for the shift is that we often get perceived as a creative or brand design agency which is not central to our value proposition though it is a market leading capability today.”

BoD has also officially announced the opening of its new office in Cyber City Gurgaon from Mid-August 2018. The strategy consulting team will soon begin to operate at the new office which will bring them closer to where a majority of their clients operate from.
