Blaise Fernandes takes over as President & CEO of Indian Music Industry


Entertainment industry veteran Blaise Fernandes has stepped in as the President and CEO at Indian Music Industry an IFPI affiliate, the apex body that represents music companies operating in India both internationally and domestically. The position was previously occupied by Vijay Lazarus who was with Indian Music Industry for over a decade. 


 


Fernandes was earlier the Senior Vice President of Edelweiss Financial Services. Before that, he was associated with the lobby pressure group Gateway House: Indian Council on Global Relations. His experience with the entertainment industry covers decades with Warner Bros Entertainment Group, Suvarna Films India and Walt Disney Consumer Products - Master Licensee Famous Communications.


 


He has 24 years of CEO experience in strategic planning, development and management. As he undertakes his new role with Indian Music Industry, his association with Gateway House as an additional director and FICCI (State Council Member) still continues.
