In order to leverage the growing popularity of International Yoga Day, brands across categories like: Lenovo India, Myntra, Yes Bank, Flipkart, INOX and Micromax rolled out special social media campaigns to connect with their consumers using Yoga as the central theme.
Below are few examples of brand activities on International Yoga Day:
Lenovo India was promoting their model Lenovo Yoga on social media using the hashtag #InternationalYogaDay.
Myntra and Reebok together were running a contest online using the hashtag #IDYwithReebok. Participants in order to win had to share pictures of them doing yoga poses. The hashtag was also trending on Twitter.
The bank did a smart job by posting health benefits of different yoga poses and connected it with the brand ethos.
The e-commerce major Flipkart posted a quirky status with the message -- the best way to celebrate Yoga Day is with some soul stretching and searching. Some things you need to search from within, for the rest you’ve got Flipkart.
On the occasion of International Yoga Day, multiplex chain INOX Leisure held a massive celebration in 52 cities. The brand tied up with Isha Foundation which made a feature film, ‘Life 70MM- Only way out is in’, demonstrating Yoga in our day-to-day lives. The hour-long film got screened at 6pm across all 100 INOX Multiplexes. A special anthem was also released in association with the foundation. The activity was being promoted under the hashtag #YogawithINOX.
