BARC Week 47: Redmi Note 6 overtakes previous week's leader BJP to rule Top 10 Brands
BJP who has been aggressively advertising for the past few weeks did not feature in this week's Top 10 brands
Xiaomi’s latest model Redmi Note 6 Pro dethroned previous week’s leader BJP to claim the top spot in Top 10 Brands for Week 47 (November 17-23, 2018) with 16020 insertions. It should be noted that BJP who has been aggressively advertising for the past few weeks was nowhere in sight in the Top 10 brands.
Online players Trivago and Flipkart moved up to the second and third spots with 12,504 and 11,319 insertions respectively. Axis Bank entered the category in the fourth spot with 11,270 insertions. Santoor Sandal and Turmeric slipped to the fifth position with 10,590 insertions. Goodknight Power Active Plus claimed the sixth spot with 9751 insertions.
Online food delivery service Swiggy took the seventh spot with 8810 insertions. Colgate Dental Cream slipped to the eighth spot with 8595 insertions. PolicyBazaar forayed the top 10 brands at ninth spot with 7926 insertions.
Airtel Cellular Service took the tenth spot with 7818 insertions. In the same week, in the BARC Top 10 Advertisers list, FMCG brand Hindustan Lever, Reckitt Benckiser, and ITC Ltd continued to lead this category with 1,26,482, 69,309 and 37,322 insertions respectively.
Godrej Consumer Products climbed to the fourth spot with 33,192 insertions. Procter & Gamble, Ponds India further slipped to fifth and sixth spot with 30,981 and 30,137 insertions respectively. Cadburys India retained its seventh position with improved 27,197 insertions respectively.
Meanwhile, Wipro slipped to the eighth spot with 26,198 insertions. Marico moved up to the ninth spot with 25,268 insertions. However, Brooke Bond Lipton India slipped to the tenth spot with 21,757 insertions.
