Arun Nanda questions Cyrus Mistry’s 'paid PR claim' in open letter

The ongoing tussle between Tata Group and Cyrus Mistry has come under criticism, especially over reports that Mistry has been selectively leaking information to the public. Arun Nanda, Chairman and MD of Rediffusion Y&R, has written an open letter to Mistry and questioned the  press release issued by Mistry’s office on Tuesday which alleges that Tata Sons paid for PR work done for Tata Trusts.

In a nine-point letter, responding directly to the  allegation, Nanda said, "The work done by us for Tata Trusts was to be absorbed within the Tata Sons' mandate and paid for by Tata Sons as per your specific instructions to Dr Mukund Rajan and myself."

He also urged Mistry not to "place selective facts about us to suit your narrative before the Media and Public."

"I do not know the purpose of your leaking selective data about my company to the media," he said, before continuing to clarify his side of the story in the open letter.
