Pogo beefs up programme offering with three new original productions

Augmenting its original productions bouquet, Pogo is premiering three new original productions for kids this summer. ‘Sunaina’, a family sitcom, will air on Sundays at 10.00 am. ‘M.A.D. 6.0’ returns on Pogo on June 22, while the second season of ‘Cambala Investigation Agency (CIA)’ is premiering on June 14. While ‘M.A.D. 6.0’ will air on Sundays at 10.30 am, ‘CIA’ will be aired on Saturdays at 6.00 pm.

Commenting on the new shows, Monica Tata, Vice-President, Advertising Sales and Networks, India & South Asia, Turner International India, said, “The success of our diverse array of premium original productions reaffirms our belief that the future is in creating original properties for Indian kids. This summer, we once again return with our proven hit shows that we have grown and nurtured over the past few years such as ‘M.A.D’ Season 6.0, ‘CIA’ Season 2, ‘Galli Galli Sim Sim’ Season 2-A. The overwhelming response to our customised Indian content has further spurred us to launch a new family sitcom ‘Sunaina’ and other soon-to-be announced original productions, later in the year.”

She further said, “Our Indian productions have grown from strength to strength from 50 hours in 2004 to over 200 hours of original productions in 2008, demonstrating our commitment to provide content that resonates with our viewers.”

‘Sunaina’ is the story of a teenage girl who has a gift – her dreams tend to come true either on an actual or a philosophical mode. The series has been produced by Tony and Deeya Singh’s DJ Creations.
