Zee News enters into alliance with CNN on sharing content

ZEE News has entered into a strategic alliance with CNN for content sharing, which will give the former access to all newsbreaks from CNN, and provide reciprocal benefits to the US media major. The alliance is initially valid for a year and could be extended up to three years. The arrangement envisaged royalty payment by Zee to CNN.

The deal, signed late last week, comes at a time when American networks, including CNN, have launched blanket 24-hour coverage after the terrorist strikes in New York and Washington and the possibility of US retaliation on Afghanistan.
