Zee Network scales down investment in HFC project

Zee Network has scaled down the investment of its HFC broadband project from Rs 3,700 crore to Rs 300 core. The project will now be implemented in three phase, with an initial investment of Rs 300 crore. The rest of the project will depend on Zee Network finding suitable strategic and financial partners.

Zee plans to invest Rs 2,300 crore in the second phase. Till such time the company gets a financial partner in the project, the HFC rollout will be restricted to the laying of ducts in four cities within the financial resources available to Zee Telefilms’ wholly owned subsidiary SitiCable Network.
