Star TV to tie-up with HMV

Star TV is exploring a joint marketing alliance with HMV for bringing out compilations of old Hindi film songs and CDs and audio cassettes, which can be marketed under the joint brand of HMV and Star Gold.

The proposed alliance is part of Star’s attempts to extend and popularise the Star Gold brand. The channel screens movies from the 50s, 60s and 70s and heralded its debut by airing the classic, Mughal-e-Azam.
