Sony to test waters before entering DTH services

Sony Entertainment Television (SET) seems to be in no hurry to enter the high potential direct-to-home (DTH) market. It plans to see the performance of other channels before taking a final plunge into the DTH services. According to Kunal Dasgupta, CEO SET, there was no apparent advantage for the first mover in this game. Venturing into DTH market needs sustained flow of investment as the business has a long gestation period.
