Saatchi to buy major stake in Kamerad

Saatchi & Saatchi Pvt Ltd is buying a major stake in the Bangalore-based advertising agency Kamerad-News Advertising Ltd. The deal is expected to be signed today.

Established in 1995, Saatchi & Saatchi’s current capitalised billings are Rs 93-plus-crore. The agency has some impressive accounts to its credit. They include Maruti Udyog Ltd, Bharat Petroleum Corporation and Global Tele-Systems Ltd. The 10-year-old Rs 16-crore (capitalised billings) Kamerad—News handles accounts like Express Publications Ltd and Unitech Ltd.
