Publicis to handle Hewlett-Packard account

French agency Publicis’s move of buying out the Delhi ad agency Maadhyam is paying off. The Rs 15-crore Delhi-based Hewlett-Packard account has moved from Mudra to Publicis, because H-P is globally aligned to Publicis.

All this while H-P was handled by Mudra in Delhi because Publicis did not have a presence in the capital. H-P did not consider it’s Mumbai outfit, Publicis Zen, because handling a long distance client is not always feasible.

Ever since Maadhyam sold out and merged with Publicis, multi-crore multinational clients have been coming its way.

Nestle mineral water, the entire Cadbury Shweppes portfolio, Hewlett-Packard are now under its wing.

Chances are that the other big global brands like Whirpool, British Airways, the entire L’oreal account will be aligned to Publicis in India as well. These accounts are held by the French agency worldwide.
