Patco to merge with El Zee Television

Zee Group’s Programme Asia Trading Company Limited (Patco) is planning to merge itself with its subsidiary El Zee Television Limited in the current financial year. The proposal is part of the Zee Group’s restructuring exercise, carried out according to the recommendations of a consultant company.

Zee Telefilms had bought Star’s 50 per cent stake in Patco, which used to produce programmes and do events for Zee Cinema. But those operations are now done by Zee Telefilms (ZTL) and the fixed assets of the company were sold at the beginning of the last financial year.

Patco has undertaken restructuring of its business operations for better efficiency. As a part of is exercise. It is looking at merging its operations with its subsidiary El Zee.
