Karnik, Tully inducted on I&B panel

The Information and Broadcasting Ministry has constituted the 10th Plan Committee to guide policy and investment decisions.

The committee includes several non-official members including former BBC correspondent Mark Tully, former Discovery CEO Kiran Karnik, and Bhuval Lal.

The I&B planning committee will include films and film finance in its ambit. Contentious issues like the future of the National School of Drama (NSD) are also likely to be examined by the committee.

The committee also includes former head of the National School of Drama, Ram Gopal Bajaj, as well as official members like Anil Baijal, CEO of Prasar Bharati Corporation.
