I&B notifies new Press Council

Information and Broadcasting Ministry has notified the new Press Council with 28 members for a three-year term. The term of the earlier Council ended in March this year.

Among the members nominated to the Council are newspaper editors Hari Jai Singh, Nikunj R Patel, JS Dardi, Sheetla Singh, Rajeeva Kumar Arora and Alok Mehta. Other working journalist are Shresh Akhouri, Vivek Saxena, Naryayan Thiagarajan, Geetartha Pathak, Raghu Rai, R Ventataraman and Sabina Inderjeet.

Mr. M K Razdan, GM PTI, has been nominated in the category of persons managing news agencies.
