Hathway plans to launch co-branded portal with Star,

Hathway Cable & Datacom is launching a co-branded narrow and broadband portal with Star TV and which will be content-led with a virtual Kaun Banega Crorepati tour and Janta Ki Adalat from Star Plus. A test run started on Monday and an official announcement will be made this week.

The portal will aggregate content and provide links to the Star group of channels and Broadband content from Star Movies will be the Pick-the-Flick section while Star World will provide Focus Asia.

The game show Kaun Banega Crorepati will have its official site on This will include the rules of the game, the virtual studio tour, KBC World, and winners from the game show. It will also have sections like astrology and news.

Links from the co-branded portal will be provided to Star News, Channel V, and ESPN Star Sports. It will also include the Star-invested portals like also provides live serials from TV of India and video facility from Radio of India has rights to songs which will be accessible to the portal. It will have links to Hathway’s own publications, Outlook and Intelligent Investor.

Hathway will soon be launching its cable Internet service in Hyderabad. It is already present in Mumbai, Chennai, Pune, Delhi and Bangalore and has a base of 30,000 users. For the subscribers, Hathway provides e-mail space and messenger service.
