Discovery Communications plans to launch Discovery Travel in India

Discovery Communications India, which runs popular edutainment channels like Discovery and Animal Planet, is thinking of introducing its travel channel this year. This is in line with the parent company’s strategy to introduce its entire stable of 15 Discovery channels in niche areas in India.

Apart from Discovery Health and Discovery Travel, the company has Discovery Kids, Discovery Home & Leisure, Discovery Science, Discovery Civilization and Discovery Wings.
