Balaji Telefilms to review merger with Nine Network on May 9

The board of Balaji Telefilm Limited (BTL), will meet on May 9 to review the proposed merger with Nine Network Entertainment Limited. The review comes in light of recent development, including the arrest of leading broker Ketan Parekh for his alleged involvement in the recent stock market crisis.

The merger of BTL and Nine Network Entertainment has already been delayed by three months, thus giving rise to report that the deal may be called off.
