Bachchan renews contract with Star TV for Rs 65 crore

Amitabh Bachchan has renewed his contract with Star TV for Rs 65 crore. This is significantly more than the Rs 25 crore that the super star had charged for the first 135 episodes. The development brings to an end speculation on whether Bachchan would continue with the programme. Recent public polls show that viewers consider Bachchan to be the main force behind the success of KBC.
