Sony PIX to air sci-fi thriller The 5th Wave tomorrow

Sony PIX will air the Indian television premiere of sci-fi thriller The 5th Wave on January 18 at 8.30 pm. Based on a book by the same name (authoured by Rick Yancey), the film by director J. Blakeson boasts of an ensemble of actors including Ron Livingston, Nick Robinson, Maggie Siff, and Alex Roe, coupled with outstanding visual effects.

The premise of the film follows four waves of deadly attacks by aliens that leave the earth in shambles, posing a threat of destruction and fear amongst mankind. On a deeper level, the film traverses the efforts of a braveheart sister to save her younger brother.

The 5th Wave has grossed more than USD 10 million worldwide on a USD 35 million budget.
