Saral Jeevan celebrates 1st anniversary with new programming

Saral Jeevan, the first infotainment channel in Kannada, is all set to celebrate its first anniversary by launching new programs. Two weekday and three weekend programs will be starting from 19th-20th February.

Launched on 19th February 2016, Saral Jeevan became a household name for its unique positioning and factual, health, and mythology programming—in short, content inspired by Indian heritage and culture.

The channel has created its own niche by staying away from both news and GEC genres. Flagship programs like Mahapayana, History, Sadhu Parampara, Grandmother Tales, and more have helped the channel build a loyal viewership base. Saral Jeevan’s affinity index is high among urban viewers and upper strata of NCCS viewers.

NEW PROGRAMS:

Seethe Lokamathe (mythology series): A mega mythology series on the epic Ramayana, the whole story is told from Seethe’s perspective. The 500 episodes with state-of-the-art production and graphics will ensure viewers enjoy the epic story in full glory. Mon-Fri 7.30 pm

Belli Parade (the golden era of Kannada cinema): The program goes back to golden period of Kannada cinema (the early 70’s to late 90’s). It presents the real-life stories behind the reel life, insights, unforgettable incidents, mega hits that changed the industry, and legends who have rewritten history. Mon-Sat 9.00 pm.

Jai Jawan (stories of Veer Jawans): The program shows the brave stories of slain army personnel, who have laid down their lives for the motherland. The family members of Veer Jawans are part of the emotional recap, to share the true stories of heroes—their love, life, the spirit of patriotism in their blood, the life before and after that fateful day. The program also intends to mobilize funds voluntarily and the same to be handed over to needy families. Sat and Sun 7.30 pm

Nam Campus (our campus): The fun side of college and the livewire energy of students is captured and presented in this program. It is driven by students who actively participate and make noise to make their point. The program includes cool topics for short debates, customized famous sayings for fun, and more. There are also pre-planned event shoots at colleges, wherein students come prepared and try their best to present their talent in front of a packed audience. Sat and Sun 7.00 pm.

Kachaguli (the comedy show): The program combines humor with a public interest message. While the program engages viewers with theatre personalities delivering humor as the core thread, the program end sees a key public message being conveyed in every episode. Sat and Sun 6.30 pm

“Our programs are inspired by Indian heritage and culture. Since the beginning, viewers have liked our approach of differentiated Indian content. Today, our brand credibility is high and loyalty is growing. Viewers want to see more of such content. New programs are an extension of the above,” says Raghunath Reddy, Business Head of Saral Jeevan.

“Programs like Kote Helida Kathe (Forts of India), History, Jnanapada (Folk), and Mannina Maga, the National Award winning agriculture program, have pushed us to deliver quality and unique programming. We are sure that the new programs will be liked by our viewers,” adds MS Raghavendra, Editor of Saral Jeevan.
