Experts James Faulkner, Sanjay Manjrekar, Graeme Swann, Ajit Agarkar, Brad Hogg, Deep Dasgupta, and Shaun Tait will join ESPNcricinfo talent Alexis Nunes, Jason Dacey, Gaurav Kalra and Raunak Kapoor to analyse games, news and issues around IPL for next 51 days. The experts will leverage extensive in-house data and statistics to present content that is unique, intelligent and easy to consume for all kinds of cricket fans. ESPNcricinfo is the only digital platform to create over 20 original programs around IPL 2018.

To expand its reach and serve a diverse set of fans, ESPNcricinfo has added brand new shows to its existing shows like ESPNcricinfo Match Day, Runorder and Match Day T20. The sports news website has made this content available to its fans on its social media channels like YouTube, Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.

Ramesh Kumar, Vice President, Head of ESPN India and South Asia said, “ESPNcricinfo’s commitment to go beyond the usual coverage is a testimony to our motto of serving our fans anywhere, anytime. We are observing a striking surge in demand for video content and with that in mind, we are creating more opportunities to develop video content, consumable for our fans whenever they like. As ESPNcricinfo turns 25 this year, it couldn’t have been a more opportune time to diversify our coverage for IPL and we are thrilled to kick-off the season with some of the renowned voices in cricket and experts collaborating with us.”

He further added, “Our line-up on premium sponsors for this season are a clear indication of our credibility to offer well-rounded programming and the value various brands believe we generate through these associations.”

ESPNcricinfo’s coverage of IPL through original video programming will feature comprehensive insights, data-backed analysis and robust opinions that offer a perspective on every single match. While live shows such as Match Day Runorder will provide holistic analysis of the games, the coverage also promises to push the boundaries beyond the regular. With TV anchor and comedian, Cyrus Broacha and ever entertaining Anu Menon, the coverage will explore several light-hearted, laugh-out-loud moments through new offerings such as ‘Up For a Challenge’, ‘Backbenchers’, ‘Come Into My Parlour’ and more. Broacha is determined to put players from the IPL teams up to entertaining challenges and conversations that will bring out the fun side of IPL and its players off-field. On similar lines, anchor Anu Menon will host ‘Come Into My Parlour’, where she will interview cricketers about everything but cricket such as their personal lives, off the field interests and more.

Jasdeep Pannu, Head of ESPN India Television Initiatives said, “The IPL is an unparalleled annual ‘festival’ of T20 cricket. This year, our coverage will have a fresh and youthful approach. We will comprehensively bring IPL news, analysis and entertainment to cricket fans across the world – on ESPNcricinfo.com as well as on our channels on YouTube, FB and other platforms. We have introduced a variety of new shows that engage fans and address every aspect of the game – personalities, statistics, the science of handling mental pressure, game strategies, behind the scenes action from the dressing room, discussion and debate, the lighter side of cricket and cricketers and much more. This is all-round game around the game coverage for IPL fans, engaging, informing and entertaining the audience 24x7 during the whole IPL season.”
