LG Electronics India CMO to talk all things digital at Techमंच

This year, Amit Gujral, Chief Marketing Officer, LG Electronics India, will be joining us as one of the speakers. He brings with him a rich experience and understanding of the Indian technology industry. His career reflects hands on experience in the areas of marketing, sales, product planning, value added services, strategy, R&D and business planning.

Gujral’s responsibilities at LG Electronics India include brand management, digital/social marketing, CRM, media, PR, CSR and government relations. He is responsible for the development and delivery of a fully integrated marketing and communication strategy for the business. He joined LG Electronics India in September 2009.

Under his leadership LG Electronics India set new records. On the special occasion of LG Electronics India’s 20th anniversary, the company had rolled out a unique ‘Astronaut video’, which was conceptualised and composed by Gujral, showcasing brilliantly how dreams come true with LG. The film has set new milestones and won various accolades. The video, which featured across LG’s website and other digital platforms including its social media channels, has received an overwhelming response from viewers and has hit more than 100 million views. It became one of the most viewed Indian digital video in 2017.

Another LG campaign conceptualised by Gujral was the "Kar Salaam" campaign, wherein salutations were created by citizens by writing messages on sticky notes- this set a new Guinness record. It was an all India campaign with an integrated marketing approach including retail activation and digital. Post this campaign LG Electronics India added 10,000 new Facebook fans and trended on Twitter at no 1.

Gujral is a Computer Science engineering graduate and has been part of the industry since 23 years. Prior to joining LG, he had a stint with companies such as BEL, HCL, Flextronics, LG Soft India.
