Following the launch of MagicBricks on mobile as a WAP site, Times Business has announced the launch of Times Jobs with apps on iPhone, Android and Java.Smbian platforms, along with the mobile optimised website, which has features like browser detection, auto login and one-click applications for ease of use on multiple mobile platforms.
The focus for future development, Times Jobs said, was the maximising of speed and simplicity for the mobile site. The company has launched platform specific apps to complement the website, which will offer an enhanced job search experience.
Vivek Madukar, Senior VP, TimesJobs.com, said, “Our mobile apps have been designed to be as simple and as intuitive as possible. Jobseekers simply enter their query in their TimesJobs app, view results and apply to jobs from anywhere and at anytime.”
The apps are designed to leverage the capabilities of their respective platforms and have the added benefit of residing on the device, being history enabled, which would lead to better customised service, and with greater speed and interactivity, at lesser data usage when compared to the mobile site, and have been designed to work not just with top smartphones like the iOS and Android apps, but also across featurephones running J2ME or Symbian.
