Sulekha.com launches real estate portal, PerSquareYard.com

Sulekha.com, a popular online community portal, has ventured into the real estate space by launching a portal on real estate, PerSquareYard.com, a one-stop source for buying, selling and rental of any type of property across metros and major cities in the country.

PerSquareYard.com will facilitate the user to search for a property on the basis of type, price and location. The portal also provides a real estate directory, wherein the user can get details about real estate agents, developers / builders, interior / exterior designers and movers and packers across major cities in India.

Explaining the rationale behind the launch, Jude Rajan, Manager, Corporate Communications, Sulekha.com, said, “With the tremendous success of the Classifieds section on Sulekha.com, in particular the growing demand for real estate requirements, there was a perceived need to go beyond. PerSquareYard.com is a direct response to this perceived need.”

“PerSquareYard.com will continue the tradition of having the largest volume of properties across metros and major cities and providing large volumes of responses to users for their differing property requirements. But going further, it will also be the point to acquire information regarding property trends, property values and providing interaction with legal experts and other experts in the property arena,” added Rajan.

The site allows the user to post their advertisement for free, wherein the seller and buyer can interact directly and also get auto-alerts through e-mail or SMS when a classified advertisement matches the user’s requirement. PerSquareYard.com provides real estate owners an option to advertise and promote their sites for free.

Commenting on the differences between 99acres.com and PerSquareYard.com, Rajan said, “One difference between 99acres.com and PerSquareYard.com is the user experience. Our look and feel is clearly superior. Other key difference that one will notice over time is our property trends and the property values section. We will also be integrating our blogs, groups, news infrastructure from Sulekha into the PerSquareYard look and feel in the next quarter. This will make PerSquareYard.com a one-stop shop for real estate needs in India.”
