NDTV Convergence launches NDTVKhabar.com for Hindi-speaking surfers

NDTV Convergence has recently launched NDTVKhabar.com, targeting the increasing number of netizens who prefer Hindi as their primary language of news consumption. NDTVKhabar.com is Web 2.0 compliant with rich media offerings such as live streaming of Hindi news channel NDTV India and a comprehensive video repository of special shows.

“In a space largely dominated by English language websites, NDTVKhabar.com is offering the audience a Hindi website with credible news and rich media content all rolled into one. We are providing a platform for the discerning tastes of the Hindi audience, where they can consume as well as contribute to the premium NDTV India content,” said Sanjay Trehan, CEO, NDTV Convergence.

The website features columns by well-known Hindi anchors and other domain experts, who add further value to the rich news content. NDTV Convergence with their latest product aims to provide an interactivity element by allowing the user to upload videos, pictures, blogs and forums to discuss issues they feel strongly about. Providing the advertiser further value, NDTVKhabar.com is the first regional website to launch video advertising to target the much neglected Hindi speaking web surfer.

NDTV Convergence Ltd, a 100 per cent subsidiary of NDTV Networks Plc, is a leading Web 2.0 company. The company develops exclusive content for cross media platforms such as the Internet, mobile, ITV and IPTV. NDTV Convergence operates www.ndtv.com along with other leading verticals – NDTVProfit, NDTVGoodtimes, NDTVmovies, CricketNDTV.com, NDTVArabia, NDTVImagine, NDTVCooks and NDTVGadgets.
