NASSCOM 2004 to focus on global IT issues

National Association of Software and Services Companies' (NASSCOM) annual international business conference, NASSCOM 2004: India Leadership Summit will be held from February 3-6, 2004 at Hotel Oberoi, Mumbai.

The three-day event will focus on the global economic landscape, challenges of managing a global company, security issues facing the IT industry, and the opportunities for Indian IT industry with the changing demographic profiles of various countries.

The conference will also address technical aspects of the domestic IT industry such as open source, on-demand computing, networking and storage. With representation from countries like Canada, Malaysia, Singapore, Hong Kong, Germany, NASSCOM 2004 will provide Indian IT companies an opportunity to explore business beyond the traditional shores of US and UK.

The event is expected to attract around 1,000 delegates from India and abroad. The event will also feature over 60 speakers addressing over 20 sessions. Key speakers include Dan Griswold of Cato Institute, Joseph Quinlan of Bank of America, James Carafano of Heritage Foundation, Alistar Cox of Xansa, John Reed of the New York Stock Exchange and Jeff Lande of ITAA, among others.

With representation from Canada, Malaysia, Singapore, Hong Kong and Germany, NASSCOM 2004 will provide Indian IT companies an opportunity to explore business beyond the traditional shores of US and UK. The conference will also provide an ideal platform to delve deeply into the issues concerning the IT Services and ITES-BPO companies. “NASSCOM 2004 will attract some of the best-known speakers from the industry and prominent figures from business, government and media circles to chart out the strategy for building the Indian domestic IT market, and boosting growth and computerization among home customers,” says Kiran Karnik, President, NASSCOM.

‘The Billion Dollar Club,’ ‘CEO Conclave,’ ‘International Analyst and Think Tank Summit,’ ‘Security Imperatives and Global Trade,’ ‘Customer Speak’ (International CIOs), ‘Indian ITES BPO Outlook,’ country forums, domestic market forum and CIO roundtables will be some of the features of the event.
