MediaZone will telecast live India Tour of Bangladesh on Internet

Global online broadcaster MediaZone has announced that it would be delivering complete Internet video coverage of the India Tour of Bangladesh beginning May 10 at 9 am IST. The company offers subscription and pay-per-view access to live and on-demand programmes to a substantial and fast-growing paid customer base.

MediaZone is a global online broadcaster specialising in professionally produced sports, international and entertainment video programming. The company is taking an initiative in cricket for the first time, and will offer live and on-demand viewing of the three one-day internationals and two test matches of the India Tour of Bangladesh.

“The India Tour of Bangladesh is an exciting start in the new international cricket calendar. This latest coverage would serve as a tremendous opportunity for cricket fans to stay on top of the action with just an Internet connection. We look forward to offer enthusiasts top quality cricket coverage in the coming months,” said Jan Steenkamp, Chairman, MediaZone.

MediaZone Cricket will also provide live global coverage of the Afro Asia Cup in June. Cricket fans can purchase an all-access pass for the entire India Tour of Bangladesh and the Afro Asian Cup, or purchase on a pay-per-view basis for each event. Due to MediaZone’s extensive worldwide coverage, these exciting events will be available in nearly every major cricket territory around the world.

“The interesting part of showing live matches is that they are commercial free. There will be no advertisements between the matches,” added Steenkamp.

MediaZone is a division of MIH Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of Naspers. The company is headquartered in San Francisco, and has offices in China and Europe. MediaZone has established lasting exclusive partnerships with media brands including AOL and NBC Sports and is the official online broadcast partner for major events such as Wimbledon and SANZAR Rugby.
