Zee Network has claimed to have recorded the highest total TV viewership share in the entertainment space. The network has based its claim on Broadcast Audience Research Council (BARC) all India data (U+R) from April 2017 to March 2018 (full year average.)
Zee, in an ad released this week, has claimed that it has garnered 18 per cent viewership share across networks in the entertainment space. The network has analysed the data from Week 14’17 to Week 13’18. It has also taken into account the network share, based on the summation of share of entertainment genre channels, excluding news and sports channels.
The data in the ad claims that Star India is on the second spot with 17.7 per cent share, followed by Sun TV Network on the third spot with 12.2 per cent share. Sony Network is on the fourth spot with 10.4 per cent and Viacom 18 stood on number five with 10.1 viewership share.
