Livemint.com starts new section MarketInfo for investors and analysts

Livemint.com, the website of business newspaper ‘Mint’ from HT Media Ltd, has unveiled a new section, MarketInfo, targetted at investors and analysts. Livemint MarketInfo tracks the stock markets, mutual fund schemes, company results, industry performance, initial public offerings (IPOs), and activities of international and other financial institutions as well as movements in international markets.

The Livemint databank offers details of over 5,400 company listings, 3,500 mutual fund schemes, derivatives and all the IPOs since 2001. The comprehensive coverage includes company reports, product profiles, shareholding pattern, company history, and profiles of key executives, among others, making it a virtual online guru on everything to do with corporate and market essentials.

The tracking of intra-day technical movements in stocks is backed by company announcements and industry developments, allowing for informed decisions by investors. The presentation of data is tailored for non-technical specialists. Graphics and charts make for easy assimilation of data. By juxtaposing market information with industry and corporate news, Livemint MarketInfo offers an opportunity to better understand market movements.

The company has claimed that the expert analyst would profit from the historical information available, the rich database of corporate and industry databases making for more valuable analyses. Quarterly results, top volumes traded and prices commanded, FII activities and other details add to the information base analysts require.
