INX News goes online with new website NewsX.com

INX News, which recently launched NewsX, India’s first HDTV-ready premier news channel in English, has now ventured into the online domain with the website NewsX.com. In keeping with NewsX channel’s philosophy of providing intelligent and thought-provoking news to global Indians, the website has an added advantage of self-customised news, said a statement issued by the organisation.

Developed by a special internal division of INX Network, NewsX.com is Web 2.0-compliant and would help users choose their news. The website would function within a dynamic environment where news content is updated faster and more frequently than any other news website in the Subcontinent, claimed the statement.

Vynsley Fernandes, Chief Operating Officer, INX News Pvt Ltd, said, “NewsX.com would provide a unique experience to each user depending on his or her news preference. The site would carry news and articles covering varied categories like World, Nation, Lifestyle, Science, Technology, Sports, and more. We believe that a world-class look and feel, coupled with a responsive, interactive environment, would ensure an unparalleled user-friendly website experience.”

The technical team that has developed the interactive elements for the website is internationally reputed and has more than 10 years of Open Source programming experience. An Open Source Content Management System (CMS) – Drupal – powers the website, making it the first instance of a major news website being completely supported by an Open Source interface.

The website’s content would include news features and articles, breaking news, news specials, microsites, blogs, etc. The content would be sourced from NewsX channel as well as from news wire agencies such as AP, AFP and PTI.
