Grand Epic Mahabharata goes new age, launched on and Reliance Mobile

Rajshri Media Pvt Ltd, the digital entertainment and new media arm of the 60-year old Rajshri group, is all set to premiere B R Chopra’s TV Epic ‘Mahabharata’ on its website. This is its major Internet launch after the Internet premier of its latest movie ‘Vivah’. Rajshri Films has also tied up with Reliance Communications to recreate the magic of Mahabharata on its application suite, Reliance Mobile World.

Mahabharata will be available in multiple versions on, the original Hindi version, with English subtitles, and a Tamil version. The TV series will be available for both free streaming and paid downloads to a global audience on PCs and other broadband enabled devices on demand 24x7.

Commenting on the launch, Ravi Chopra, Producer and Director of the epic TV series, said, “While directing Mahabharata, I became convinced that this epic is not for us Indians alone, but for the whole wide world. Its timeless message can restore the eternal values of peace and harmony in the strife torn world of today. I am delighted at the initiative taken by to make this memorable piece of work available to viewers worldwide.”

Meanwhile, launching Mahabharata on Reliance Mobile World, Mahesh Prasad, President, Application Solutions and Content Group, Reliance Communications, said, “We are extremely pleased to bring Mahabharata alive on Reliance Mobile World. It is our constant endeavour to bring information, communication and entertainment on one platform. Through this initiative, Reliance Mobile customers can watch the contents of the hugely popular television serial at the click of a button.”

It may be noted that over eight TV channels are now available for online viewing on all Reliance Mobile phone models that support streaming videos. Reliance Mobile customers can now access daily episodes, audio songs, video songs, wallpapers, and ringtones of the grand Epic.
