Ganeshaspeaks.com launches first ever astrology radio station

Astrology portal GaneshaSpeaks.com has launched, what it calls, the first ever dedicated astrology radio station with an aim to change the way in which astrology is being consumed till now. Available on Astrology.fm, the radio station can be accessed via computers, handheld and mobile devices connected to the Internet.

Speaking on the initiative, Hemang Arun Pandeet, Founder MD & CEO of Siddhivinayak Astrology Services Pvt Ltd, the owners of GaneshaSpeaks.com, said, “In today’s scenario, Internet is one of the most potent mediums to reach out to a very large audience quickly and effectively. Astrology.fm is our attempt to redefine the perception of astrology. The station offers very interesting programming in Hindi, which happens to be the language of choice for Indians, including NRIs.”

Along with the launch of Astrology.fm, the company has also unveiled its short code 55181 to make its reach national. Subscribers of most of the national telecom operators like Vodafone, Idea, Reliance, Uninor, MTS, and so on, can call up the astrologers directly via 55181 and seek astrological guidance in real time.

Pandeet claimed, “We receive more than 1 million visitors on a monthly basis. GaneshaSpeaks.com leads the Indian market with a market share of about 45 per cent of the organised segment. Both telephony and Internet business individually clock about 45 per cent.”

GaneshaSpeaks.com was launched on April 25, 2003 with an idea that the astrology industry can be organized, thereby unlocking its potential. Besides personalised forecasting, the portal also claims to predict results of cricket, football, tennis and stock market indices (Nifty and Sensex) with more than 80 per cent accuracy. In November 23, 2009, Bejan Daruwalla, the doyen of astrology, had announced the GaneshaSpeaks.com team as successor to his astrological legacy.
