HindustanTimes.com has again made it to the top of Forbes 'Best of the Web' ranking by claiming the 4th best newspaper website position in the world in the foreign newspaper category.
Speaking to exchange4media, Sanjay Trehan, General Manager - Internet, The Hindustan Times Ltd. said, "The recent ranking has placed us in the top 5 amongst the likes of Guardian and we are absolutely delighted with this development. The site today logs over 55 million page views in a month with an average time spent at 19 minutes, as claimed by the website.
It has been placed above the likes of Sydney Morning Herald, International Herald Tribune and South China Morning Post among others. It must be noted that the last three Forbes 'Best of the Web' reviews had ranked HindustanTimes.com 7th in the world. Forbes ranks sites in various categories, which have been selected, based on their content, design, navigation, speed and customization.
On being asked about the reason behind such success, Trehan further said , "HindustanTimes.com has a very clear agenda to provide news and news based information, which is rich, detailed and analytical and adds value to the lives of our surfers. We are very focused in our offering and benefit from the inherent strength of the mother brand while adding value to the offering in Print."
