Discovery Kids to enter in OTT space

The children's channel from Discovery Communications India, Discovery Kids is planning to launch its own OTT platform.

At the launch of Discovery Kids’ new show 'Little Singham', Uttam Pal Singh- Head of Discovery Kids said that the broadcaster is planning to launch an OTT platform to have a strong presence of Discovery Kids on traditional TV and the OTT side. He said, “ Discovery Kids is also in plans to launch its own OTT app, which will have a lot of content along with 'Little Singham' which will also be available on the app.”

The network has also partnered with Netflix for the digital distribution of the series. When asked about the launch date, he shared, “We haven’t defined a date yet, but we are observing the trend and we want to be relevant on both linear TV and OTT space.”
