Deals and You Co-founder Guneet Singh has confirmed to exchange4media that he has joined Google as lead of consumer marketing initiatives. Singh, who was earlier working at Microsoft ,where he was involved in the marketing of Windows, Hotmail and Bing, had left the company last year to start Deals and You with Harish Bahl and Manish Vij, but left the group buying site after divesting his stake in November 2010.
There, he had been responsible for the management of internal operations and marketing for Deals and You, and now at Google, he will be heading marketing initiatives and will be reporting to Nikhil Rungta, Country Marketing Head, Google.
Singh, who has over 13 years of experience, has worked with other leading brands like Samsung and ABN AMRO Bank, and had joined Microsoft in 2005, where he headed integrated marketing and communications, before leaving for Deals and You.
