Deals and You claims 1 million users

Deals and You announced today that the group buying website has hit 1 million users in a period of six and a half months. According to Gaurav Kachru, the CEO of Deals and You, the website is India’s leading group buying portal, and they will celebrate the milestone with their members.

Kachru said, “We had started the portal with the aim to provide experiences that were carefully selected and of the highest quality and service to all our members. Our focus on excellence and our hard work has paid dividends. The tremendous acceptance by our members has been the reason for our growth. We will work harder and longer to ensure 100% satisfaction for all our members, across the country.”

Deals and You is one of the late entrants into the group buying space in India, having come in by acquiring wanamo.com, and Kachru has said before to exchange4media that he does not like the term group buying, seeing the site as a performance advertising medium. The company is one of the fastest growing sites in the space though, and tries to distinguish itself from the dozens of other group buying sites by offering high end brands and deals which will tempt an elite category of user.
