3-day interactive gaming expo SKOAR 2008 kicks off in Mumbai from today

SKOAR 2008, a three-day interactive gaming expo, commences in Mumbai from January 25. Organised by 9.9 Media, SKOAR 2008 aims to go a long way in showcasing the acceptability and future of gaming in India. The expo is set to attract gamers, game publishers, content providers and gaming-related hardware manufacturers.

The event features products from Logitech, the latest Core2 Quad processors from Intel, new games by Sony and Electronic Arts, state-of-the art graphic cards and high capacity drives from Western Digital, and much more. Bandwidth provider MTNL TriBand and Wi-Fi wizards Netgear will work together to turn the entire event floor into a Wi-Fi Internet hotspot.

SKOAR 2008 gives an opportunity to gamers to check out the ultimate gaming experience across five different zones – PC, console, mobile, digital lifestyle, and casual gaming.

As part of the event, Electronic Arts would be holding the Crysis Regional Tournament, wherein eight winners would be selected to form a team to represent India at the finals of the tournament, which will be held in Singapore on March 15, 2008.

Sony will be unveiling its first public demonstration of the Buzz, a party quiz game for PlayStation 2 at SKOAR 2008.
