FreeCharge appoints InMobi’s Sharat Khurana as CFO

FreeCharge, India’s leading online platform for recharge, utility payments, promotions and couponing, has announced the appointment of Sharat Khurana as its CFO. Khurana’s primary responsibilities at FreeCharge include ensuring growth and managing the company’s financial operations, raising capital, and corporate governance.

Khurana was earlier CFO for InMobi, where he helped the company grow from a regional player to a global mobile advertising major, raising $200M from Softbank, acquiring four start-ups in the US & UK, and building a team across five countries.

Khurana comes to FreeCharge with over 15 years’ experience at several high-growth organizations in the US and India. In past he has been with Capital One, a leading US bank, where he was responsible for portfolio strategy of their $35 billion prime and super-prime credit card portfolio.
