Being the Director of a leading media and entertainment company can sure be a demanding job. Add to this the role of being the Founder and Producer of the prestigious International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) Awards and you can imagine the massive work pressure of tackling competition while consistently staying on the top of your game. This week on Chillout, we spoke to Andre Timmins, Director- Wizcraft International, to know how he ensures uninterrupted downtime on weekends, far away from all the work mania.

When asked what his idea of me-time is during weekends, Timmins says, "I need to make me time to find something (worthwhile)  to spend it on.” Timmins aces working weekends, which he believes further boosts his productivity and creativity. The Wizcraft Director is a self-confessed workaholic and has no qualms accepting this, however, he ensures that he keeps time aside for family-bonding. “The remaining time I love playing with my kids and spending time with family,” he says.

He reveals that his idea of relaxing is taking time out to watch a movie or a TV series “Narcos Season 2 is the last show I binge watched,” admits Timmins. He also reveals that hat Netflix has him hooked. Being at the forefront of movies, Bollywood and awards, we ask Timmins about his favourite movie. An all-time favourite he reveals is Dog Day Afternoon and picks up Bheja Fry as a favourite among Bollywood movies.

A food favourite for Timmins is some delicious sushi and one of his favourite dine-out spots in the city is Zuma. He is a dog-lover and ensures that he spends a good amount of time with his pets, which he says works like therapy for him. His dogs help him soothe his frayed nerves and unplug from the daily stresses.

Opening up on something he wishes to learn this year, Timmins wants to really invest his time in a good fitness regimen, it is something that he would like to follow regularly. Timmins is also quite a globetrotter and totally loves all the travelling his work makes him do. “IIFA takes me across the world and my favourite destinations have been Austria, Madrid and Amsterdam,” he says.

Speaking about his upcoming travel plans, he says,“ I’m planning travels to Australia, New Zealand, Argentina and Mexico.” Giving us major travel goals, he adds,”These are great destinations for our films to be shot at and some amazing adventure options are available there so I’ll be looking at these places.”
