MullenLintas' Best Bet at Cannes: Motilal Oswal Financial Services Campaign

MullenLintas has nominated one campaign to the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity 2018.

The campaign for Motilal Oswal Financial Services that pitched the company as the expert in equity investing is what the agency is betting on this year. Mullen Lintas won the Motilal Oswal account in June 2017 following which the agency was given a fundamental brief: 'we have been in the business of equity for 30 years and we’re really good at it'.



The ad films make the point with a refreshing approach. Both the films are a montage of several ‘experts’ going about their daily chores set to a catchy background song. These experts include a man in an office, who's extremely fast in applying a stamp to a bunch of papers, a group of construction workers at a site that get their job done efficiently, a chef at a restaurant cutting watermelons and more.

The message at the end reads, 'If you focus on one thing for long enough, you master it. At Motilal Oswal, we have spent 30 years focusing only on equity. Think equity, think Motilal Oswal'.

Garima Kandelwal, ECD, Mullen Lintas believes that this campaign stands out because “The brand’s strategic brief was “focused on equity”. Motilal Oswal is focused on equity for over 30 years. To illustrate that we showcased everyday people focused at what they do to achieve excellence. In the category of financial services the cut and execution was very fresh and lateral.”
