ERAA 2010 will recognise work done in the field of radio advertising for the period July 2009 to June 2010. Following the overwhelming response from the agencies, advertisers and radio stations, and on popular demand, the last date for receiving entries for the Awards has been extended to September 20.

The bitter tussle between radio operators and music companies over royalty payment has come to an end with the Copyright Board recommending a revenue sharing model. Around 2 per cent of net advertising revenues of radio companies will now be given as royalty tax to the music companies, providing a much needed relief to radio players.

Onads Communications had won the creative duties for Indiabulls Securities account in August, this year. According to industry sources, the account size is pegged at around Rs 10-15 crore. Hill Road Media has produced a 15-minute radio show, which is being broadcast daily in over 7,000 schools in Uttar Pradesh. The main themes of the show revolve around health, nutrition, hygiene, education, gender equality, child rights, and the importance of a good learning environment.
Western Railway has invited sealed tenders under the ‘two-packet’ system for licensing out ad rights for display of advertisements through hoardings at Shastri Bridge, Indore within the Railway premises. The contract shall be awarded for a period of five years and EMD has been fixed at Rs 70,000.
