Preparations are on full swing at Sri Adhikari Brothers for the launch of their new music and entertainment channel Mastiii, which is expected in the next couple of days. In an exclusive conversation with exchange4media, Markand Adhikari, MD & Vice-Chairman, Sri Adhikari Brothers Television Network Ltd, shares more on Mastiii, the content line-up and the team.

Sri Adhikari Brothers has decided on the creative and media agencies for its new music and entertainment channel Mastiii. The channel is expected to launch in the first week of July. The creative duties of the channel will be handled by Madision Creative Cell (the creative arm of Madison World), while the media duties have been awarded to ZenithOptimedia.
Though the numbers are for just one week, it has brought great cheer to the Star Plus camp. The channel led the Hindi GEC charts on week 25 with 443 GRPs (TAM, HSM, CS 4+). A part of it can be attributed to the Star Parivaar Awards, which was in its tenth year. New show ‘Tere Liye’ also managed to find its way to the top ten programmes of the week.
To celebrate its 31st anniversary, Mid-Day will release a bumper anniversary issue across Mumbai, Delhi, Pune and Bangalore on June 25, 2010. The cover jacket and the editorial page of the tabloid will be in 3D and will come along with 3D glasses. The 3D cover is sponsored by UTV Action for the movie ‘The Forbidden Kingdom’, which will air on June 27, 2010.

Suresh Bala has put in his papers at Zoom as CEO. He had been with Zoom since 2006. Bala now intends to start his own venture in the media space and said that he would be ready to talk about it in a week’s time. It could not be ascertained as to who would be replacing Bala at Zoom.

Besides this, the fiction content on the channel will be divided into four time blocks, with each block having a separate fiction team, which will report to Ashvini Yardi, Programming Head, Colors.
