Close on the heels of bagging the Mitsubishi and Reckitt Benckiser’s Paras Oral businesses, Euros RSCG has now added one personal care and one home care brand of Rohit Surfactants Pvt Ltd (RSPL) to its kitty. Rohit Surfactants is a Kanpur-based detergent firm that owns brands like Ghari detergent and Venus Soaps.

After the launch of its new brand position – expressed by the word “Rise” – in January 2011, the Mahindra Group has announced the launch of a multi-media movement – ‘Spark the Rise’ – which seeks to inspire and empower people across India to shape their own future. The Group intends to invest Rs 120 crore over three years in activities related to building the new brand position.

Since India is an important market for us and it has huge potential for growth, we have increased the marketing budgets to over 50 per cent from last year. We have developed new marketing and advertising strategies to increase our presence in the market and are positive about the response to the same... Print medium works best for our brands as it has maximum reach amongst our target audience. We plan to allocate 65 per cent of our marketing budget to the same.
