Big FM, the radio arm of Reliance Media World Ltd, has announced the elevation of Viplove Gupte to National Programming Head. Prior to this Gupte, has been part of the programming team at Big FM as Associate Vice President – Programming, since May 2008, and has been instrumental in shaping the on-air offerings from the radio station. He will report to Big FM CEO Tarun Katial.

Asianet Communications, part of Star India Network, is launching a dedicated television channel for the Middle-East audience christened Asianet Middle East. The channel is going on air with a soft launch on March 25.
