Colgate Swarna Vedshakti & TVS Motor enter top 10 brands in Week 29: BARC India
The week also witnessed an uptick in the total number of ad insertions in the top ten advertising and brands category

In week 29, as per Broadcast Audience Research Council (BARC), India witnessed a slight increase in the total number of ad insertions in the top ten advertising and brands category. In this week, the top ten advertisers category saw an increase of 2.72% as total count stands at 668, 736 as compared to 651, 003 in the previous week. Similarly, the brands category too saw an increase of 6.83%. The total insertions for the top ten brands stand at 141, 223 as compared to 132, 195 insertions in week 28.
In the advertisers category, Hindustan Unilever continued to be the biggest advertiser with 283326 insertions followed by Reckitt Benckiser, which ranked second with 131750 insertions. Godrej Consumer Products bagged the third spot this week with 39611 insertions followed by ITC at the fourth spot with 39536 insertions and Brooke Bond Lipton India on the fifth spot with 39433 insertions.
Colgate Palmolive India bagged the sixth spot with 33942 insertions and Procter & Gamble in the seventh spot with 30641 insertions. Cadburys India stood at eighth spot with 27660 insertions and Ponds India on the ninth spot with 22637 insertions. Procter & Gamble Home Products bagged the tenth spot with 20200 insertions.
In the brands category, Surf Excel Easy Wash continued to lead the list with 19338 insertions followed by Dettol Antiseptic Liquid on the second position with 18342 insertions and Lux Toilet Soap on the third spot with 15830 insertions. Wheel Active 2 in 1 and bagged the fourth spot with 14876 insertions and Dettol Toilet Soaps grabbed the fifth spot with 14043 insertions.
Dettol Liquid Soaps, Teaser-TVS Motor and Colgate Swarna Vedshakti with 13781 insertions, 12405 insertions and 11606 insertions respectively bagged the sixth, seventh and eighth position. Horlicks and Fair & Lovely Advanced Multivitamin stood at the ninth and tenth spot with 10944 insertions and 10058 insertions respectively.
